Hi everyone! What does it make you think of this expression? Maybe the famous pick and mix to make your perfect combination of sweets? What fun!
“Look at this! Let’s take that, too!” To me the fun was mainly to quickly grab many candies, all in different colors, shapes, taste and then enjoy them! It didn’t require any thought, really.
The mix and match I’m referring to is a different story. It’s an eclectic interior design where we mix and match different styles and elements for an incredible unique and creative result that talks about us and about our personality.
And it’s not that simple as it might sound, it usually requires thinking and planning for best results. Although it could be also the combination of what we recycle, like in the case of my family, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, it has its character and beauty, very distinctive.
It’s a style rich in contrasts that create surprise and fun. Some keep a color palette to enjoy an eclectic style that is harmoniously created. But also a mixture of color can be fascinating in my opinion.
It’s a style that usually takes time to build up and each piece has probably a story, maybe a momento of an experience or of a journey.
Some like to have an eclectic style just on their gallery walls to add personality to the room.
