It was a cool rainy day outside. Laura wandered from window to window sighing looking bored.
“Mom! There’s nothing to do” she whined as she walked into the kitchen.
“I have a present for you Laura” said her mom. “It came in the mail last week and I have been saving
it for a day like this to give It to you”
Laura beamed with when she saw her favorite magic in her Mom’s hand. Something full of mystery and fantasies to carry her off into wonder on this dreary day.
“Thanks Mom” said Laura as she grabbed the book and went to sit in her magic place.
