This morning, we bid farewell to a true icon. Ozzy Osbourne—the unmistakable voice of Black Sabbath, the wild heart of heavy metal, and a cultural force like no other—has died.
For decades, Ozzy embodied the beautiful chaos of rock and roll. With his haunting vocals, raw honesty, and fierce individuality, he gave voice to the misunderstood and the marginalised. Tracks like War Pigs, Iron Man, and Crazy Train became anthems not only of rebellion but of resilience.
He was more than the “Prince of Darkness.” He was a survivor, a husband, a father, and an unexpected beacon of humour and vulnerability behind the mayhem. His influence shaped generations of musicians and fans alike, and his legacy will reverberate through amps and headphones for many years to come.
Today, the world feels a little quieter. A little stranger.
Rest easy, Ozzy. You were truly one of a kind. And though the stage is darker now, your music will echo through time.
