Let’s go to the beach!

Hello, last week I worked on few new images under the theme Let’s go to the beach!

Do you prefer a vacation at the mountains or at the beach?

I love them both, but at the mountains I tend to be more active since I go for long walks. The beach is very relaxing especially at times when is quite and not crowded.

For one of the paintings, Loving red starfish, I wrote a story to accompany it:

“Nobody loves you like your mum. She always keeps an eye on you. The search for new adventures is always so tempting for the baby ones, they are not scared of anything because they know that if they loose an arm they can reproduce a new one just like that.

They don’t yet understand that outside the water they can suffocate. And what about if they meet a human who wants to touch them or take them home to display on their shelves?

So their mum has to monitor them all the time, at least she can count on more than 2 eyes, one at the tip of each arm. Not that they can see that much, just enough for what they need: to take the baby back home safely.”

I love starfish, I saw many baby ones, they are so cute and beautiful!

This is the link to my website if you would like to have a look also to the other beach scenes, thanks a million!

I write poems (exclusively in Italian). What I love in working with colours is that it's a direct language with no barriers. And I like how it brings me into my dreamworld.
I'm fond in particular of nature, because in its beauty there is love and hope.

I started a new series of artworks Weird but True, because many times nature can be quite bizarre! And the first one, Nature's palette, is already uploaded, you can see it in my website https://lucia-waterson.pixels.com/

I also started a new series of artworks, in which I select news from all over the world and I recount them to you through my eyes and my (he)art. We can take this ongoing journey together if you keep visiting. The first artwork is already uploaded, it's called Touching the sky.

Thank you very much! Lucia Waterson

  1. Love starfish and I did not know that!

I prefer the mountains… er the sea… no, the mountains… or perhaps the sea… I love them both equally LOL

  2. I love your image and it’s story Lucia!

I am a water baby so the beach is my happy place, even though I was born and raised (and once again) live in the foothills of the mountains. I was not able to participate in the Art Challenge with the beach theme as I was traveling. However, I got to spend one afternoon actually at the beach.
