Sometimes you may need to remove a live post temporarily or return it to draft for further editing. The OAM blog makes this simple:
- Log in to your OAM dashboard.
- Go to Posts → All Posts and locate the post you wish to unpublish.
- Click the post title to open it in the editor.
- In the right-hand panel under Status & Visibility, click the current status (Published).
- Select Draft or Private depending on your preference:
- Draft — removes the post from public view until you republish it.
- Private — hides the post from the public but allows logged-in administrators and editors to see it.
- Click Update to apply the change.
When to Unpublish a Post
- To correct errors or update outdated information.
- To pause content while waiting for approval or revisions.
- To remove time-sensitive announcements once they are no longer relevant.
