It’s Not Important
You forgot to watch that television show that you like. You forgot it was on at that particular time.
That’s okay. It’s not important.
You forgot to pick up chips for your lunch tomorrow.
That’s okay. It’s not important.
You didn’t get the rug vacuumed today.
That’s okay. It’s not important.
Photography is capturing a moment in time that will never be repeated exactly the same.
Doesn’t that make every moment important?
How do you decide what’s important and what isn’t?
Do you “sweat the small stuff”?
Isn’t the small stuff important?
How important?
Are there degrees of importance?
What about this: “Will it matter five years from now?
If not, then it’s not important.”
Is that statement true?
Doesn’t everything we do and every decision we make affect the outcome of our lives five years from now?
If that’s true then isn’t everything important?
Now that I’ve provided enough food for thought to last through the coming week end, I think I’ll go do something frivolous.
That’s okay. It’s not important!
