Month Two
Today is the first day of the second month of the year. A month of birthdays, holidays and for some of us the coldest weather of the season.
Even though every day is getting a little longer on the way to the spring and summer seasons, the temperatures are actually the coldest towards the end of winter, or at least everywhere in the eastern United States where I have lived.
But the holidays and celebrations usually help warm people’s hearts, if not their bodies. In the US we will be celebrating Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday and Purim. There may even be more holidays that are not on my calendar!
