Oversensitivity
As many of you know I have been using wine corks to create images of the letters of the Modern English Alphabet. I then choose a word that starts with that letter and write a description for the image using the chosen word.
There have been a couple of days that I have a word chosen and am ready to upload the image, description and keywords to my site when I suddenly decide to use a different word. That means starting over on the description.
Earlier this week I couldn’t decide between two words for the letter O. I wrote up descriptions for both words. At the very last minute I decided which of the two words to use for that day.
Today on Kathy From KeppenArt I am going to reveal to you the description that was not chosen for the letter O.
The chosen word was Oversensitivity.
Oversensitivity is:
(1) The condition of being excessively offended, bothered or upset.
(2) Abnormally susceptible or responsive to a particular agent or stimulus (such as a drug or sound).
Well, there you have it. I tend to be very bothered and get overly upset at a few sounds. Two examples are noisy eating and country music.
It is not unusual for my mood or feelings to go from care free and happy to offended and grumpy after only a few minutes of smacking lips, slurping liquids and whiney country music!
Are you oversensitive about any issue or noise?
Do you avoid those issues?
Please feel free to share in the comment section how you deal with your oversensitivity issues while I do everything I can today to avoid mine!
