Super Sunday?
I received a text this morning from a friend who lives across the country. We hadn’t touched base in quite a while. Before catching me up on his life he wished me a “Super Sunday”.
His “Super Sunday” greeting was chosen, I’m sure, because this is the Sunday that the “big” football game in the United States is played and it is called the Super Bowl.
Not being a sports fan I pondered on the description of “Super Sunday”. It certainly was not a Super day for weather where I live. Actually it was cold, damp and cloudy. A gray day. On the other hand, I suppose that gray days could be super days if they provided you with an excuse to curl up in front of a cozy fire with your favorite new novel or a reason to binge watch your favorite TV program.
What type of day would you consider to be a “super” day? Would it be a day filled with kick-back, leisurely activities such as those mentioned above? Or would your “super” day be one filled with a flurry of activity, perhaps even participating in an outdoor sport?
Personally, I am going to take this “Super Sunday” gray day as an opportunity to be thankful that I can curl up under a fleece blanket and watch television, but absolutely not the Super Bowl.
