Did you know that there are hundreds of holidays in the month of December?\u00a0 Some holidays are religious, some national, some are monthly, weekly or daily holidays and many of these are \u201cofficial\u201d holidays, such as Christmas and Hanukkah.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are public relations firms, companies and web sites that specialize in gathering information on international holidays.\u00a0 They can help you plan your celebration with a list of appropriate foods, decorations and even the history of your particular holiday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This blog is being written and posted on December 15th<\/sup>.\u00a0 According to a couple of such sites there are at least 7 different holidays on December 15th<\/sup> alone. According to another site there are 17 monthly \u201cObservances\u201d in December and 11 different weekly Observances this month. That site states that there are a total of 190 holidays to celebrate in December.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s a whole lot of celebrations in one month! No wonder so many people are completely exhausted by January 1st<\/sup> (not to mention New Year\u2019s Eve celebrations that can last for 12-24 hours).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you only celebrate the \u201cofficial\u201d holidays, such as Christmas for example?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you ever celebrate a daily \u201cSpecial Interest\u201d holiday such as National Wear Your Pearls Day (December 15)?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you know that there was even a holiday specifically for wearing your pearls?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can wish me any \u201cHappy\/Merry\/Season\u2019s Greetings\u201d that you want.\u00a0 I will smile and wish you the same.\u00a0 Celebrating life can be contagious.\u00a0 Let\u2019s all spread the excitement of the Holiday Season around as much as possible and let\u2019s all be grateful for others who wish to spread their joy around, even if it\u2019s not your celebrated holiday.<\/strong><\/p>\n
