A few months ago I wrote about attending a high school reunion in Ohio.\u00a0 Soon we will be attending another one, this time in Georgia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had no input in the planning of the Ohio reunion whereas I\u2019ve been on an informal planning committee for the one in Georgia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had no expectations this summer attending the first reunion.\u00a0 Because I had help in planning the upcoming reunion in Georgia I have many expectations.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

I know better!\u00a0 Having expectations can set you up for disappointments if your expectations are not met. You can be pleasantly surprised at anything and everything if you have no expectations.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you attended any high school or college reunions? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you have any expectations before you went?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you enjoy the reunion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t enjoy your reunion, was it because you had expectations that were not met?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We could apply this concept of expecting events to unfold in a certain manner to many other issues in life.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

We can expect the best in life or we can expect nothing and be surprised at what unfolds. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am choosing to expect the best – or nothing! <\/strong><\/p>\n
