As I was researching for today\u2019s post I was reading several sites about idioms.\u00a0 My mind was all over the place trying to decide the direction of this piece, using idioms as the subject. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I could make a list of idioms and their meanings as many other sites have done.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I could pick out one idiom and write about it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I could pick out several idioms and compare their similarities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I could ditch the idiom idea all together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How in the world was I going to decide what direction to take for today\u2019s post?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It then dawned on me that life, in some ways, is much like writing this blog post.\u00a0 Everyday there are decisions to make.\u00a0 How do you decide what to wear that day?\u00a0 What meal to prepare, cook and serve that day? What medical decision to make?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you research, make a pro and con list or roll the dice?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you catch that? \u00a0Pun intended!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In my own life I do all three of those things when I am faced with a decision that I need to make.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I don\u2019t do research for every decision every time.\u00a0 My goodness it\u2019s hard enough to decide what to serve as a meal every day, day in and day out without doing research (looking up new recipes) for each meal.\u00a0 But sometimes I do actually look up new recipes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

For some decisions I make a pros and cons list.\u00a0 But, once again, I don\u2019t do that for every decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Occasionally I roll the dice.\u00a0 I simply make a decision.\u00a0 Right or wrong.\u00a0 Good or bad.\u00a0 I simply decide one way or the other and hope for the best.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is your decision making similar to mine?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is one way of deciding better than another?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is the method totally dependent on the type of decision to be made?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did I decide to change directions of today\u2019s post from my original plan?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I sure did.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
