{"id":411,"date":"2021-07-22T06:00:04","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T11:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ourartsmagazine.com\/kathykmcclellan\/?p=411"},"modified":"2021-12-08T00:38:22","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T00:38:22","slug":"new-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ourartsmagazine.com\/kathykmcclellan\/2021\/07\/22\/new-challenges\/","title":{"rendered":"New Challenges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-601\" src=\"https:\/\/ourartsmagazine.com\/kathykmcclellan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/07\/OAM-New-Challenges-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourartsmagazine.com\/kathykmcclellan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/07\/OAM-New-Challenges-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourartsmagazine.com\/kathykmcclellan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/07\/OAM-New-Challenges-272x182.jpg 272w, https:\/\/ourartsmagazine.com\/kathykmcclellan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/07\/OAM-New-Challenges.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the last two blog entries I wrote about the Seven Day Challenge on Fine Art America\/Pixels site(s).\u00a0 That challenge had a specific theme which was Liquid.\u00a0 The challenge was to process or paint, and upload a new image each day.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since my last blog post I also completed a Three Day Challenge with Any theme.\u00a0\u00a0 I ended up using the same theme for all three days even though that wasn&#8217;t required.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting next Monday I will be participating in a Five Day Challenge with a specific theme: Green.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I am more of a dreamer than a goal setter but these challenges have motivated me to \u201cset a goal\u201d.\u00a0 I am being \u201cchallenged\u201d each day to complete an image from start to finish.\u00a0 All in one day. \u00a0That\u2019s the goal.\u00a0 That\u2019s the goal that I\u2019ve reached in both of these challenges.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Some days it was easy peazy to meet the goal. Other days I struggled, either with computer issues, creativity obstacles or both.\u00a0 But I continued and finished the task each day. I met my goals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting my goals during those challenges allowed me to complete them.\u00a0 It has also given me the confidence to sign up for a third challenge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For those that are following my journey through these challenges I have created a special Collection on my site for those specific images.\u00a0 The descriptions for each image will say for which challenge the image was created.
