My temporary rental on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is a little less than a half a mile from the beach. There are two different routes that will take me from the rental to the sandy shore.

Both routes surround me with many old growth Live Oak trees.

A shady walk is provided when taking a city street to the beach as both sides of the street are bordered by Live Oaks producing a canopy of limbs overhead. A walk along a driveway through a church’s back property provides both sunny sections bordered by meadows and shady sections provided by those giant Live Oaks.

Autumn brings colorful leaves falling from deciduous trees as the weather gets cooler.
