The New Journal
One of my Christmas presents was a new journal. I had made feeble attempts in the past at journaling but those attempts were more like prayer diaries.
What a difference! My prayer diaries may have included requests for myself but were overwhelming about others’ wants and needs. My journaling seems to be more about me. My needs. My desires. My feelings. It actually sounds self centered.
Supposedly, or at least what I’ve read and have been told, is that keeping a journal of your feelings is good for your mental health. So far I don’t feel any less depressed or any more grounded in the last 34 days of this new practice. However, it is still winter with less and weakened sunshine will feeds depression so I will continue journaling until the book runs out of pages and only then decide if it’s a practice I might want to adopt on a more permanent basis.
What about those of you who are reading this post? Do you journal? Is your journal more about you, people in your life or about life in general? Please let me know in the comments at the very bottom of this page.
To each of you: May you have a great day and keep on writing, singing, dancing, drawing, painting, capturing moments on that memory card or whatever it is that keeps those creative juices flowing!

I tend to journal on Facebook. That’s the extent of it lol
HaHa Abbie!
I wish you the best with journaling! I do not have the patience for it but admire those who can do it.
I struggle with it some days.
