Tuesday's themes are Birds - Landscape - Sadness. When, several days ago, I picked "sadness" as me contribution for today, little did I know how tearfully appropriate that term would be. It was more than thirty years ago when last I visited Paris. I passed by Notre Dame cathedral on several occasions but never had the chance to visit inside. We have a tendency to rush about our business, saying to ourselves "next time".  Sadly, too often, "next time" never comes. I don't even recall if I took photos of the cathedral. Those were film days, and I have yet to scan my old collection of photographs, that too has been a task for "next time".

I had picked a sculpture for today's topic. The actual title is "Contemplation", but to me it has always evoked a feeling of sadness.
