What happens when an artist discovers how to finally make more sales?
German based artist Matthias Hauser loves to create art, but he always struggled with marketing his work online. He had lots of likes and nice comments on social media, but very few people bought something. This started to change after he found out how to use a site he neglected until June 2016: Pinterest. As his sales in the holiday season 2016 had been better than ever he decided to create an online course for artists: “How to sell more art with Pinterest” http://marketing-for-artists.com.
“Pinterest drives lots of qualified traffic to blogs. Unfortunately, most artists have no clue how to use Pinterest to find potential buyers for their photos or paintings” he says. The course starts at the very beginning and leads in 25 well-structured lessons to more advanced topics.
Matthias Hauser decided to offer some lessons for free: “Anybody should be able to check out some of the content and my teaching style before buying a pig in a poke”. Some fellow artists from Fine Art America (the site where he sells most of his work) trusted him enough to buy the course before it was finished. “Their input really helped a lot to refine the course and to explain the topics as clear and logical as possible” he says.
In a course review Keith Boone, a wildlife and landscape photographer from British Columbia, wrote (among other things): “The course is very well written, entertaining and concise. It was fun to work through the lessons and I learned new and useful information in every chapter”.
The online course is priced at $167. During the launch period the course is on sale for $97 (until July 24th 2017).
The sales page (with all of the free lessons) can be found under http://marketing-for-artists.com
